The preschool at Tower Grove Christian Academy provides quality early childhood education for each child who enters our doors. We work hard to be a blessing to each child, their family and the community that surrounds us.
We believe that one of the goals of a Christian education is to develop and train children’s character. God says “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). We strive to:
Create a healthy atmosphere - physically, mentally, and spiritually
Foster a desire in each child to discover God’s love and the wonders of his creation
Provide an environment where each child is respected and accepted as an individual and foster development of an emotionally healthy and happy child
Teaching the preschooler to love learning is the long term goal of the preschool. We use the Abeka Curriculum which utilizes a Spiral Approach learning style. We provide each classroom with the tools necessary to attend to the cognitive social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development of the preschool child.
By emphasizing a center-based, hands on approach to learning, these materials provide opportunities for each child to learn at his own developmental level and ability. Motor skills, habits, listening, language, number and letter awareness and recognition, scientific investigation, and cultural knowledge are incorporated into the lessons.
We offer Music classes for our 2-5 year old children.
We offer P.E. classes for children in our Pre-K program.
Pre-K children also participate in a weekly chapel service with the Elementary School.
We offer several field trips throughout the school year for our 3-5 year old children. The cost of these field trips is included in the tuition fee.
The Preschool at Tower Grove Christian Academy is nestled in the Shaw Neighborhood on the corner of Tower Grove and Magnolia between Tower Grove Park and the renowned Missouri Botanical Garden.
Our partnership with each of these institutions allows us full access that can be used as an extension to the classrooms and experience nature as God created it.
